The Guimar Pyramids Ethnographic Park is a significant spot of huge archaeological significance. There has been ongoing research and since 1981 the renowned Norwegian anthropologist Thor Heyerdahl has been investigating notions of the basis of these pyramids, which display a familiar likeness to the pyramids that are found in Mexico and Peru.
