Things to do and see in Guimar:

The Guimar Pyramids Ethnographic Park is a significant spot of huge archaeological significance. There has been ongoing research and since 1981 the renowned Norwegian anthropologist Thor Heyerdahl has been investigating notions of the basis of these pyramids, which display a familiar likeness to the pyramids that are found in Mexico and Peru.

There is so much to see and do in Guimar and another great site is the Volcano. This has an incredible crater that has a perimeter of 300 metres and a staggering 60 m deep.

Up above Guimar is Candelaria, renowned for the Church de Nuestra Senora de Candelaria. This fabulous structure was constructed in the 50s in tribute of the patron saint of the Canaries, Our Lady of Candelaria. Further up above this at Las Caletillas, is a charming beach which if you are wanting to see something special well worth a visit.

Out and about in Guimar:

If you have chosen all inclusive Guimar holidays you will find that they have easy access to the Teide National Park. Travelling from Guimar you are only 7 miles from the most northerly position of Tenerife’s Teide National Park. This is perhaps the singularly most remarkable biological landscapes of the Canaries; the volcano El Teide.

The snow-capped mountain is an impressive 3,718 metres high, and is the highest point in Spain. For unbelievable sights of the volcanic scenery of Tenerife and islands afar take a cable car ride up to the top of the mountain.
