General Area:

Tucked away cosily to the east of Santo Domingo and to the west of Punta Cana is La Romana. Be it a family vacation or honeymoon; all inclusive La Romana caters to all. Talking of beaches, there’s the picture perfect Playa La Minatas where one can spot the who’s who; there’s Playa El Caleton which is a big hit with families. And there’s also the Bayahibe beach with its soft golden sands, parasols and sunbeds, beach bars and fishermen’s huts.

Nightlife:

When we talk of nightlife on La Romana holidays, it is safe to say that the place has it all- from mild to wild. There are a number of clubs, discos and bars that provide evening entertainment. Most of the hotels too have their own form of entertainment programs for their guests which include cabaret shows, live music, karaoke nights, etc. There are also many casinos in town where one can try their luck all they want; most casinos are hotel based but quite a few are independent establishments as well.

When to go:

Truly a great place to visit, La Romana has a typically tropical weather. July is the hottest month on holidays in La Romana with average temperatures reaching a high of 30°C, while January is the coldest month with average temperatures reaching 24°C. The rainy season here is from May to November and one has to watch out for hurricanes as well. Thus, December to April is the ideal time for a trip to La Romana.
