The main hub of all night-time activity is the Lungo Mare promenade with a couple of bars and restaurants. Many of the hotels too provide in-house entertainment for its guests. Throughout the summer season, plenty of events take place in town. There’s an open air summer theatre showing lovely films.
When to go:
Summers on holidays in Opatija are the hottest with almost 8-9 hrs of sunshine per day. Enjoying a Mediterranean climate, the resort has hot and dry summers and cool winters. During the summer months of June, July and August the temperatures reach the soaring 30°C. During the summer months many music concerts, conventions, exhibitions, festivals and events take place in Opatija. Thus one can say that summer is the ideal time for a vacation to the resort. But those of you who want to escape the summer heat and season crowds can opt for a trip in the autumn season. Autumn is fairly better weather and you can still enjoy some of the famous Croatian sunshine.
