Nestled cosily among fragrant pine forests, orange and olive groves and sheltered by high mountains is the pretty fishing village of Mlini, eight miles to the east of Dubrovnik. Famous for its scenic beauty, all inclusive Mlini on one side is surrounded by lush pine forests and high mountains while on the other are the sparkling blue-green water washing the shores. The beauty on holidays all inclusive in Mlini apart from its gorgeous coastline is its freshwater springs and the clear stream that carves its way through the village.

The village got its name ‘Mlini’ from the word ‘mill’, thanks to the numerous watermills that stand near the stream. Till date there are a few watermills intact and ready to be photographed. There’s also a flock of ducks worth seeing close to the stream.

Beach:

With some lovely sand and shingle beaches cheap all inclusive holidays in Mlini are perfect for a sun, sea and sand destination. The beautiful coastline is also home to plenty of pretty little coves. Mlini is blessed with a charming harbour and a lovely seafront promenade. Take a leisurely swim in the glistening waters of the Adriatic Sea or a delightful nap under the sun on the beach; that’s the idea of an ideal beach holiday. If you prefer soft sandy beaches then you can head to the Elafiti islands which have some mind blowing beaches in the region.

Nightlife:

Mlini holidays don’t stand out when it comes to an exciting nightlife. The party scene in this quaint little fishing village is very low key and laid back. There are a few bars and restaurants in town where one can enjoy a couple of drinks and a lovely meal. For a more exciting nightlife, one can head to Dubrovnik or Cavtat which are easily accessible by boat as well as bus.

When to go:

Mlini too enjoys a lovely Mediterranean weather with hot summers and cool winters like most of Croatia. The summers here start from April and go on to August, with the temperatures reaching a maximum of 30°C during the months of June, July and August. The sea temperatures usually remain 5°C lesser that the land temperatures. The summer months enjoy glorious sunshine almost 10 hours per day. A number of local festivals and events take place in Mlini during the summers, thus it can be safely said that summer is the ideal time for holidays in Mlini.
