Beach:

Malta isn’t that much into beaches and Valletta too doesn’t have any beaches of its own. But if you’re looking for a proper beach close by, there’s Mellieha just half an hour away by bus. Mellieha is blessed with the island’s biggest and best beach. And if you’re not keen on beaches then a day trip to the medieval walled city of Mdina is a great idea. A 20 minute bus ride takes you to an ancient world set inside walls.

Nightlife:

Once a upon a time, Valletta used to be a dull place post sunset with only a few restaurants, a theatre and a handful of bars; but today it’s a different story altogether.
