The town boasts many restaurant and is the perfect area for lovers of fine food, and it has a marina too. While at Retaurante Quince, I met Pepe, a local fisherman who provides fresh catches to the restaurant daily. “Our paellaburria, Padrón de Mariscos,” he said proudly as I scooped my initial bite and quickly proved him right.

Rating — 3/5 –Fresh, authentic wagyu beef tacos and a not-so-authentic prawn taco, but prices can be on the pricey side for an inland eating place.

Sa Llonja is a brilliant tapas restaurant, for something more relaxed. We sat down to enjoy a feast with some Liverpool friends. This one, the said, was “best calamari we’ve ever had.

A lovely sandy sweep of glistening beach flanked by crystal water fronts Porto Cristos main bay. I met a girl from london sunbathing alone with a book “Quiet, not crowded (the R&R definitely helps),” she said.
