Things to do

S’Argamassa Holidays – Tranquillity and picturesque views

Conveniently located very close to the resorts of Es Cana and Santa Eulalia is the little known, small resort of S’Argamassa. This little jewel of the east coast is still relatively unknown and unspoiled by the crowds. The golden sand beach and gentle slope offer perfect swimming for families and the views from the beach are fantastic.

If you are looking for a quieter holiday, staying with a mix of guests and a peaceful resort well away from the hustle and bustle of the larger Ibiza destinations, perhaps S’Argamassa is the place for you.

How to get the best deal to S’Argamassa

Hotel prices tend to be a lot lower out of the school holiday season.  Early May can see excellent deals and there is still plenty to do on the island.

The nearby resort of Es Cana boasts the infamous hippy market, where cheap purchases can be picked up. Just don’t forget to haggle! Have a look at our last minute deals page for any up to the minute bargains.

The airport and transfers

S’Argamassa is a 30-minute taxi ride away from Ibiza’s airport, which can be reached from all the UK’s major airports. The airport can get pretty busy during the summer season, but it is very open and clean, boasting some great shops to help you beat those going home blues. All the major car hire firms operate in this airport.

The resort does have a bus stop on the route to Santa Eulalia from Es Cana, this should pass by every 30 minutes during the season, with a slightly longer delay over the lunchtime siesta. From Santa Eulalia, you will be able to take a bus to any destination on the island.

The hotels will arrange a taxi for you to take to other areas in Ibiza but beware of fare hikes on the return journey from any nightclubs, especially after midnight. There is also an infrequent water-taxi service that will drop you at the beach from Es Cana or Santa Eulalia.

What are the best beaches in the S’Argamassa area

Beaches in Ibiza are wide ranging and numerous; the positive aspects of the island are it is small enough to experience many of them throughout your visit. Beaches cover anything from vibrant sand bordered coves to fantastic expands of receptive coastlines and everything in the middle.

Best beach for lazing on a sun lounger

Just around the corner from S’Argamassa is the resort of Es Cana. This beach has sun loungers a-plenty and lots of cafes and bars to keep you well watered while you soak up the intense Ibiza rays. Es Cana also plays host to the infamous hippy market every Wednesday, which is perfect for a shopping trip accompanied by live music and quirky bars.

Best beach for activities

S’Argamassa beach has fantastic facilities for such a tiny resort. There is a dive school on the beach and you can also rent jet-skis and even a banana boat here. The beach also has a few pedaloes and you can rent small boats from the jetty at the end of the beach. A trip to Formentera can also be taken from the jetty, but the boats are slower than the fast ferry from Ibiza Town so be prepared for less time on the unspoiled beaches of Ibiza’s sister isle.

Best beach for complete isolation

Cala Martina is a small, quiet beach just ten minutes’ walk up the coast from S’Argamassa. Although the main beach itself can get a little busy during the season, a very short walk around the headland will reveal a few tiny beaches that are real isolated gems. The walk is over rocks at some points so make sure you bring good footwear!
