Description:

Es Cana an all inclusive Family holiday resort with excellent sandy beaches

All inclusive holidays in Es Cana are popular with couples and families looking for a small easy-going family resort with good amenities and an excellent safe sandy beach. Es Cana is on the north-east coast of the island of Ibiza, 3 miles north of Santa Eulalia, 12 miles north of Ibiza Town and 16 miles from the airport.

Es Cana all inclusive holidays are very much centre on Es Cana beach, a crescent of fine white sand in a sheltered bay backed by low wooded hills. The main Es Cana beach is very sheltered, providing excellent safe conditions for children.

Another beach is found at Cala Nova near the harbour and at Cala Martina and Cala Pada between Es Cana and Santa Eulalia. A number of beach bars provide pleasant views out to small offshore islands.

All inclusive Holidays in Es Cana, fantastic water sports and coastal walks

Es Cana holidays offer a relaxed resort built around the original harbour, which still has its own fishing boats. Es Cana holidays offer plenty of boat trips and ferries; a very pleasant way to visit Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga, Cala Pada or Ibiza Town.

Es Cana holidays offer plenty of water sports including water skiing, jet skis, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, parasailing and diving. Holidays in Es Cana could also include tennis and some fine walking in the surrounding countryside.

Es Cana holidays all inclusive should include a walk along good coast paths to Cala Nova and Cala Llena to the north or S’Argamossa to the south: a fine way to discover quiet coves, stopping at little beach bars on the way.

Es Cana holidays – Head for the seafront promenade

Es Cana has a modest selection of shops, with a much bigger choice at nearby Santa Eulalia. Es Cana holidays are not complete without a visit to the weekly Hippy Market. Holidays in Es Cana offer plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars, particularly around the seafront promenade, which is also the main centre of the resort’s modest nightlife.

Most Es Cana holiday entertainment is provided in the hotels, with a few music bars near the beach. Es Cana holidays are not really suited to younger visitors looking for lively nightlife, although the stylish Marina at Santa Eulalia offers classy restaurants and a taste of the famous Ibiza nightlife.

Popular Es Cana holiday excursions include picturesque north coast resorts like Portinatx, the casino, the Aquamar waterpark, a mini-train trip into the interior, ever-popular glass-bottomed boat trips, or even a trip to the island of Formentera.

Holiday Guide

Things to do on all inclusive holidays in Es Cana

Beaches

Es Cana is a family resort with a fantastic crescent-shaped sandy beach. This is a great place for children to play safely, while you relax in the sun. It also has lifeguards making it extra safe. It is pretty too, with its own tiny harbour full of local fishing boats and gorgeous views out over the warm sea to misty, distant islands. This is a perfect choice for a family holiday.

Water Sports

If lying on the beach all day isn’t your thing, why not try out some of the water sports available on a holiday in Es Cana. You can try a number of different water sports including water-skiing, parasailing and windsurfing. Don’t forget the endless fun you can have with banana boats and pedaloes! If you fancy scuba diving, there is also diving school in Es Cana.

Market

There is a famous hippy market in Ibiza that is only a short walk from Es Cana. You will find all sorts of things here, from crafts, sculpture, art, clothes and jewellery. This is an excellent place to find some souvenirs to take home or gifts for friends. You will find everything here, from all over the world, and local goods as well.

Ibiza town

You can take a boat trip from Es Cana’s harbour along the coast to Ibiza Town. It’s well worth a visit, and a nice day out from the beach life. Ibiza Town is surrounded by massive Moorish battlements and walls. Contained within is a lively, cosmopolitan place full of winding cobbled streets, exclusive shops and boutiques as well as a sprinkling of Ibiza’s finest clubs. This fairly sleepy town in the day comes to life in the night!

Formentera

You could also take a day trip from Es Cana to the Island of Formentera. The beaches here are pure white and crystal clear turquoise seas are legendary. You could also visit San Carlos, a little whitewashed village where the hippies who discovered Ibiza in the ‘60s used to hang out. This is a great spot for chilling in a café and watching the world go by.

Entertainment

Es Cala is very prepared for all kinds of people’s tastes in entertainment. There’s a constant stream of fun family entertainment taking place in the resort’s many pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels. You’ll discover pub quizzes, karaoke, singers, dancers and cabaret, all within walking distance. Alternatively, all along the coast either side of the resort you’ll find lovely unspoiled beaches which are easy to reach for a relaxing stroll. Enjoy!

Restaurants

Es Cana offers a wide choice of cheerful places eat out. The choices of restaurants vary, with cuisine from all over the world: anything from English to Indian to traditional Ibizan food. Children are welcome everywhere so you’ll have no problem finding somewhere to eat. There are restaurants and cafes dotted all around Es Cana so take your pick!
