Weather In Sitges

Sitges, the vibrant town just 20 miles south of Barcelona, enjoys a unique micro-climate due to its location between the hills and the sea. With over 300 days of sunshine, Sitges experiences typically Mediterranean weather, with hot humid summers, pleasant spring and autumn months, and mild winters with excellent conditions for both sight-seeing and shopping.

Surrounded by the Garraf Mountains and lying on the Mediterranean coastline, Sitges boasts a unique climate, with its location guaranteeing plenty of dry sunny days and blue skies. Spring sees very pleasant temperatures averaging 17C, and the occasional shower, with the temperature in May rising to 22C and reaching highs of 28C during July and August. In the height of the summer, the humidity levels can reach between 60-70%, and the stifling heat can result in the locals leaving the town for cooler regions inland. Heavy summer showers are fairly common during this time, which give a little relief from the intense heat.

Weather In Sitges – Typically Mediterranean climate, mild winters

Autumn sees more comfortable temperatures of between 20-25C in Sitges, however this period is the rainiest, with the months of September and October receiving around 3-4 inches. The weather is still warm, and the beaches are less busy, with the water temperature remaining around 20-23C. Temperature starts to drop in November, with winter lows reaching 13C in January, and throughout the season the days remain still fairly mild and temperate with lots of sunshine.
